Shea Butter Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii) originates from the fruits of the Karite Nut tree, also called the Mangifolia tree. These trees are grown in the semi-arid savannahs of West and Central Africa. Shea butter is known especially for its cosmetic properties as a emollient and moisturizer.
