Introducing Isophthalic Acid:

We are pleased to announce that Eastman Chemical Company has given us distributorship of Isophthalic Acid (PIA). Some of the other competitive products are Phthalic Anhydride (PA), Terephthalic Acid (TPA), 1,4- CDHA, and other dibasic acids. Isophthalic Acid provides a number of performance advantages, which include:

  • Excellent corrosion resistance in Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) applications.
  • Excellent hydrolytic and stain resistance in gel coat and solid surface applications.
  • Excellent hardness.
  • Excellent corrosion and stain resistance in coatings.
  • Improves powder-coating weatherability versus Terephthalic Acid
  • Good weather ability in solution coating resins.
  • Better resin processability than Terephthalic Acid.
